PARIS — Christina Zeller is to take over the artistic direction of Delvaux.

Zeller, who joined the Belgian luxury leather goods maker in 2011, following the company’s acquisition by First Heritage Brands, is not replacing anyone, but building on her previous position of collections and product director, in ongoing efforts to breathe new life into the brand.

“With the acceleration of the international expansion and the critical demands of creativity and quality, along with the house’s deeply rooted history, the appointment of Christina Zeller to this position was a natural choice,” the company said in a statement on Tuesday.

Prior to her arrival at Delvaux, the executive held key accessories posts at Karl Lagerfeld, Christian Lacroix and most recently Givenchy, where she was director of the accessories for the brand’s business unit from 1999 to 2010.
