PARIS — Christophe Mélard is leaving his post as president and chief executive officer of Sergio Rossi effective today.
He is seeking new professional challenges outside the Kering group, which owns the luxury shoe brand, the company announced on Monday.
Marco Bizzarri, currently chief executive officer of Kering’s new luxury couture and leather goods division, is to replace Mélard on an interim basis, until a successor has been found.
Mélard had been with Kering since 2005, when he joined the French group as chief financial officer of YSL Beauté and president of Roger & Gallet. In 2009, he took up the helm at Sergio Rossi.
