MILAN – Clessidra Sgr SpA has named Piero Alonzo chief executive officer. Alonzo, who was previously vice president of the Italian private equity firm, succeeds Maurizio Bottinelli.

Last May, Clessidra was acquired by Italmobiliare SpA for roughly 20 million euros, or $22.25 million at current exchange.

The private equity firm, which currently controls the Buccellati and Roberto Cavalli labels, as well as holding a 35 percent stake in men’s brand Harmont & Blaine SpA, also tapped Mario Fera to sit on the board of directors.
