Francesca’s Holdings Corp. named Neill Davis, the former finance chief at The Men’s Warehouse Inc., to the newly created position of president.
Davis, who has been on Franceca’s board since 2007, will report to chief executive officer John De Meritt when he starts Aug. 6.
Francesca’s, a specialty chain focusing on the 18-to-35-year old woman, also said co-founder Kyong Gill would retire from the company and its board at a July 10 board meeting.
Chairman Greg Brenneman said, “Kyong has wanted to retire for some time but agreed to stay until she fully transitioned her merchandising role which she has done brilliantly and seamlessly over the past two years to Sei Jin Alt, who has been [chief merchandising officer] since June 2011. We deeply value Kyong’s friendship and are grateful for her tremendous innovation, dedication and service to the company.”
Marie Toulantis, a veteran of Barnes & Noble Inc., will fill out the firm’s board, becoming an independent director.
Men’s Wearhouse, where Davis was chief financial officer, said chief accounting officer Diana Wilson would serve as interim cfo.
