PARIS — Executive changes are afoot at L’Oréal.
The French beauty giant said Tuesday that Barbara Lavernos was named executive vice president operations, which includes sourcing, production and supply chain, and a member of the company’s executive committee, beginning Nov. 1.
She succeeds Jean-Philippe Blanpain in the role.
Lavernos has been at L’Oréal since 1991, most recently as its managing director of the group’s travel retail worldwide. She will be replaced by Vincent Boinay in the role, also on Nov. 1.
He has been with the company since 1992, currently holding the post of global retail director of L’Oréal Luxe.
“Travel retail is a key channel for winning over one billion new consumers,” said Nicolas Hieronimus, president of selective divisions, in a statement. “All of the group’s major brands have the opportunity to develop on this ‘sixth continent.’”
