MILAN — The wheel at Luxottica keeps turning. Almost 12 months after the departure of chief executive officer Andrea Guerra, his right arm and the company’s chief marketing officer Fabio d’Angelantonio has left the Italian eyewear maker that produces and distributes for brands such as Chanel, Giorgio Armani and Prada.

D’Angelantonio also held the position as president of Luxottica’s retail chain Sunglass Hut. Regional leaders at Sunglass Hut will now report directly to the company’s ceo Adil Mehboob-Khan.

According to a spokesperson of Luxottica, a successor for the position as chief marketing officer has already been found, and is set to start by the end of this summer, but declined to disclose any details about the appointment.
