Ralph Lauren executive Jeff Kuster is making the leap from fashion to wellness.
Kuster, who has more than three decades of business experience and served most recently as group president of North America for Ralph Lauren Corp., will report to John Goff, owner and chairman of Canyon Ranch. According to Kuster’s LinkedIn page, he left Ralph Lauren last April.
“Jeff has a unique history managing large organizations along with brand expertise, and his thoughtful style is clearly influenced by his early experience working with humanitarian organizations,” Goff said. “His background, coupled with our mission, makes him the right leader for Canyon Ranch.”
Kuster, who is fluent in French and Spanish, has also served as president of Cornerstone Brands, a division of HSN, and was ceo of the EMEA and Indian regions for Fruit of the Loom. He was managing director of VF Corp.’s international intimates division, based in Barcelona, and has also worked for McKinsey & Co., as well the World Bank, the Peace Corp and Doctors Without Borders.
“I was first introduced to Canyon Ranch as a guest at the Life Enhancement Center in Tucson, and the unexpectedly profound and meaningful experience served as the catalyst for my interest in joining the company,” Kuster said. “I am drawn to iconic organizations that have the power to transform lives, and Canyon Ranch has a history of forging deep connections with those who engage with it. I am honored to partner with this amazing team and the brand’s dedicated ownership to create the next chapter of evolution and growth.”
Kuster’s appointment is effective Feb. 18 and he will be based at the company’s headquarters in Fort Worth, Tex.
The privately held Canyon Ranch last year celebrated its 40th anniversary as a wellness lifestyle brand. It operates resorts in Tucson, Ariz., and Lenox, Mass.
