PARIS — Swiss fragrance and flavors supplier Firmenich has appointed Jane Sinclair as its new general counsel.
The executive will join the company on Feb. 1, after serving as the head of international legal and global privacy at pharmaceutical concern AbbVie. Prior to that, she was regional legal counsel, Europe and France, and then senior legal counsel, Pacific, Asia and Africa-Australia, at Abbott Laboratories.
“Jane is an international corporate lawyer with significant experience in both emerging and mature markets across Asia and Europe in the [fast-moving consumer goods] and pharmaceutical sectors,” Firmenich said in a statement.
Sinclair succeeds Dominique Graz, who is leaving the company at the end of February after a 22-year tenure. She will report to Firmenich chief executive officer Gilbert Ghostine, become a member of the company’s executive committee and act as the secretary of its board.
