REMEMBERING MARIA LUISA: Funeral services for Maria Luisa Poumaillou are scheduled for April 14 at 10:30 a.m. at the Saint-Roch church at 296 Rue Saint Honoré in Paris. The family requested donations in lieu of flowers to Institut Curie, which is dedicated to cancer research.
Poumaillou, a prominent French fashion buyer and retailer, died on Monday at age 61, as reported. Poumaillou has been associated with the department store Printemps since 2009, where she was fashion editor and oversaw a department bearing her own name on the second floor of its Boulevard Haussmann flagship. But she was perhaps best known for her defunct Maria Luisa boutiques in Paris, where she championed designers including John Galliano, Pierre Hardy and Alexander McQueen.
