PARIS – French fashion brand Gérard Darel has appointed Marianne Romestain as president with a view to stepping up its international development.
Formerly managing director of the French division of Fast Retailing Co., Romestain replaces Laurent Gerbi and David Maruani, who will join the Paris-based firm’s supervisory board.
In the last two years, Gérard Darel has doubled its network of stores and is now sold through 300 directly operated stores and 1,200 multi-brand retailers in more than 40 countries, it said in a statement.
In her previous role, Romestain oversaw the rapid overseas expansion of French contemporary brand Comptoir des Cotonniers.
