LONDON — Gianluca Brozzetti will step down from the board of Jimmy Choo at the annual general meeting on June 15. The company said Brozzetti wants to dedicate more time to his executive assignments.
“We are grateful to Gianluca for the input and support he has provided to the company during his tenure. We understand his reasons for making this decision and fully support him,” said Peter Harf, the chairman of Jimmy Choo.
Brozzetti is the chief executive officer of the Italian jeweler Buccellati, which is majority owned by the private equity fund Clessidra SGR.
As reported, Clessidra is in talks with potential investors to sell its stake, and Brozzetti has been helping with the sale as well as working to expand Buccellati’s international business.
“I regret that I have to step down at this time, and wish all in the business every success,” said Brozzetti.
