Giorgio Armani Group has named Federico Barbieri global retail director of direct-managed stores for all of its lines. Barbieri not only leads the group’s digital channel but is also in charge of the whole distributive chain.

Previously a digital and e-business senior vice president at Kering Group, Barbieri has a long experience in developing retail strategies and in e-commerce, in particular. Concurrently, he was also Bottega Veneta‘s worldwide business and digital communication director.

The Italian manager has also worked in the U.K., the Netherlands, Finland and the U.S. for companies such as Nike, Nokia and Mandarina Duck, among others.
