PARIS – GIR+A&F, the Italian manufacturer and distributor of French sportswear brand Marithé + François Girbaud, has appointed Simone Mantura, 42, as its chief executive officer and charged him with expanding its international footprint.
Previously, Mantura was managing director at Ruffo. His resume also includes commercial and marketing roles at Balenciaga, Helmut Lang, Dirk Bikkembergs and Calvin Klein. At GIR+A&F he is responsible for strategy, sourcing and distribution, working alongside the shareholders of the company.
Based in San Giovanni di Marignano, on Italy’s Adriatic coast, GIR+A&F is a joint venture between Marithé + François Girbaud and the Ferretti family, which controls Aeffe SpA, a listed Italian fashion group that owns the Alberta Ferretti, Moschino, and Pollini brands and produces collections for Jean Paul Gaultier among others.
