PARIS — Swiss fragrance and flavors supplier Givaudan said Thursday that it has made some changes to its executive committee.
Simon Halle-Smith, head of human resources for fragrances at the Vernier, Switzerland-based company, is to become a member of its executive committee responsible for global human resources.
Joe Fabbri, who is already a member of Givaudan’s executive committee, will maintain his responsibility for environment, health and safety, and sustainability and spearhead projects backing Givaudan’s focus on execution at each step of the value chain.
The two appointments have immediate effect.
“Creating a dedicated executive committee position for human resources reflects our commitment to our people, who are critical to our success,” stated Gilles Andrier, chief executive officer of Givaudan. “We also recognize that customers and many other stakeholders have rising expectations regarding a company’s responsibility to sustainability, the environment, and health and safety.”
