PARIS — Alain Lorenzo, president and chief executive officer of LVMH Fragrance Brands, is to step down from the role in July, citing personal reasons.
Lorenzo is also the longtime president of Parfums Givenchy.
Romain Spitzer, European general manager of Parfums Christian Dior, is to succeed Lorenzo, working by his side during a transition period through June 30.
Spitzer is to also become president of Parfums Givenchy in addition to managing the shared services of LVMH Fragrance brands, which includes human resources, finance, commercial and operations.
A graduate of business school ESCP, Spitzer has worked for Guerlain, Parfums Jean Paul Gaultier at Beauté Prestige International, and Yves Saint Laurent.
LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton created LVMH Fragrance Brands — comprising Givenchy, Kenzo, Pucci and Fendi — in 2010 as an entity within its perfumes and cosmetics division. The aim was to regroup the sales forces of those brands while maintaining each one’s individual creative, marketing and communications activities.
