Young Hollywood came out for its annual play date at the Nickelodeon 2010 Kids’ Choice Awards. Actresses such as Miranda Cosgrove, star of iCarly; Keke Palmer, star of True Jackson, and Selena Gomez, star of Wizards of Waverly Place, proved that the kids are more than just all right. They’re downright gorgeous. Beautywise, a clear mandate emerged on the bright orange carpet: For the girls, long, tousled hair with rosy makeup to give a fresh-faced glow dominated (the perfect accent to the flirty Crayola-colored frocks most chose), while for the boys, the look was undone but done, hair styled—but only so much. The better-established (and slightly older) attendees took more risks: To wit, both Katy Perry and Rihanna opted for playful, bright fuchsia lips (all the better to see you from the stage with, my dear), while Zoe Saldana’s dressed-down chic proved she’s one of the coolest kids in town.
