As part of its ongoing effort to redesign and expand its Web site, GQ has elevated Sarah Ball to the role of executive digital editor.

Ball, who will work alongside executive digital director Mike Hofman and report to editor in chief Jim Nelson, was previously a senior editor at GQ.

“Sarah’s appointment comes on the heels of a handful of exciting new announcements for GQ.com,” said Nelson. “I look forward to seeing her exercise her great taste and editorial judgment as we grow the site over the next few months.”

GQ’s Web site is slated to undergo a redesign over the next several months, and will be complete by the fall. Prior to joining GQ last year, Ball served as deputy editor at VanityFair.com.
