On Wednesday, the luxury company promoted Beniamino Marini to the role formerly held by Alessio Vannetti, who exited the brand at the end of September.
Marini joined Gucci from Missoni in 2015 as global social media and editorial content manager and in 2018 he extended his responsibility to the Gucci beauty division, where he supported creative director Alessandro Michele in the development of the category’s image strategy.
In his new role as global communications director, Marini will report directly to Gucci executive vice president and chief marketing officer Robert Triefus.
This is only the latest internal promotion at Gucci. Following the departure at the end of October of Jacopo Venturini, Gucci’s executive vice president, merchandising and markets, his role was split between two in-house talents, Matteo Giopp and Maurizio Pisanu, who were promoted to the roles of chief merchandising officer and global director licensing high-end accessories, respectively.
