LONDON — Two former Harrods executives have left the store to take up new posts with online fashion retailers in London.

Nicola Copping, the editor of, will become editor in chief of The role is a new one and she will start Oct. 1. Copping will oversee the editorial and creative direction of the e-tailer.

Prior to her role at Harrods, Copping was deputy fashion editor at the Financial Times and fashion writer at the Times.

Joanna Stephenson, formerly of Debenhams, will also joining the team as trading director. Both Stephenson and Copping will report to David Worby, the chief executive of, and another Harrods veteran.

Pepper, formerly head of marketing and communications at Harrods, recently left the store to join, an online hub for more than 120 independent fashion boutiques worldwide. Pepper’s new title is global marketing and communications director.
