Jim Maki HAS been promoted to president of Sisley Cosmetics USA.

Maki had served as executive vice president since joining the company in 2012. He will maintain his current duties with the company and continue to report to Arnaud Naintré, president of Sisley Americas.

“Jim brought an inimitable energy and enthusiasm to Sisley three years ago, and we are very pleased with the results under his leadership,” Naintré said. “This promotion is well deserved and we look forward to his continued success with the brand.”

During Maki’s tenure with the brand, retail sales have grown double digits for three consecutive years. Maki oversaw the launch of Sisley’s e-commerce site in the U.S. and was instrumental in opening the country’s first two freestanding boutiques, in Las Vegas and New York City.

“It is a true pleasure working at this family-owned brand, where the d’Ornano family demands the very best from their team and their incredible products,” Maki said. “I feel fortunate to be part of Sisley’s story here and to have the opportunity to grow such a beautiful brand.”

Prior to joining Sisley, Maki spent eight years with LVMH Perfumes & Cosmetics, heading sales for Guerlain and Acqua di Parma. He was also the vice president of sales at YSL Beauté for three years. Maki worked in field sales at Boucheron, Issey Miyake and Jean Paul Gaultier and began his career in beauty in the buying department of Dayton Hudson/Marshall Field’s.
