LONDON — Jo Levin, who left British GQ last month after nearly 24 years at the title, has been named consultant creative director at The Communications Store.

The position is a new one, and reflects TCS’ efforts to broaden its scope from communications and public relations to strategic brand development as it marks its 20-year anniversary.

Levin will work closely with founder and partner Julietta Dexter and director and partner Daniel Marks to “champion creative excellence” across both The Communications Store and its client portfolio, the company said.

“There are so many opportunities for forward-thinking brands to target an increasingly demanding and overwhelmed consumer,” said Levin, who was formerly creative fashion director at British GQ. “In a crowded global market, brands need to create exceptional creative content to stand out from the crowd and truly entice the consumer,” she added.

The Communications Store will also handle management for Levin for all her future creative consultancies. It is TCS’ first formal talent management deal, and marks another area of expansion for the London-based company.
