John Hooks is joining Pacific Global Management (PGM) as chief executive officer. PGM controls luxury and fashion company La Perla and model agency Elite World, which operates under the brands Elite, The Society Management NYC and Women Management NY and Paris.

Hooks is to be nominated executive chairman of Elite World and will join the board of La Perla as a director.

In 2015, PGM is expected to register sales of over 300 million euros, or $335.4 million at current exchange.

Hooks will work with Stefania Valenti, chief executive officer of Elite World, and with Silvio Scaglia, executive chairman of La Perla.

Highly regarded in the industry, Hooks’ started his career in 1979 at the GFT Group. From 1995 to 2000, he worked at Jil Sander as worldwide commercial and retail director, followed by 11 years at the Giorgio Armani group, where he rose to become deputy chairman. From 2011 to 2014, Hooks was ceo and group president of Ralph Lauren Europe and the Middle East.

Hooks has been a nonexecutive director of Manchester United plc since November 2012 and last month joined the board of Miroglio Fashion.
