NEW YORK — Following the announcement of Nine West’s new store concept earlier this month, parent company The Jones Group Inc. has appointed its latest executive hire: Kathy Nedorostek.

Nedorostek will serve as group president, global footwear and accessories, a newly created position, and will report to Richard Dickson, The Jones Group’s president and chief executive officer of branded business.

The appointment, effective mid-October, includes responsibilities that range from spearheading further growth in the footwear, handbag and jewelry categories, to overseeing operations, sales, production and overall category development for brands such as Nine West, Anne Klein and Easy Spirit.

Nedorostek spent the past nine years at Coach as president of North America wholesale and global licensing, and before that held posts at the Natori Co. and the cK Calvin Klein Shoes & Bags division of Nine West Group Inc., as president and chief operating officer and president, respectively.

In April, Coach had revealed that Mike Tucci would take over responsibility for North American wholesale operations in addition to his duties as North American group president for retail, global digital media and customer engagement, with Nedorostek reporting to Tucci.
