BERLIN — The chief financial officer of the Karstadt department store chain, Harald Fraszczak, has stepped down from his post “for personal reasons,” effective Nov. 9.
The Essen-based group did not provide any further information on a possible successor.
Fraszczak joined Karstadt in May 2011. Prior to that he headed up Metro’s core Cash & Carry division in Germany.
The Karstadt management board is currently comprised of CEO Andrew Jennings, head of personnel Kai-Uwe Weitz, chief merchandise office Gillian Berkmen and chief retail office André Maeder.
