Marissa Andrada has been named senior vice president of human resources at Kate Spade & Co., effective July 18.
She succeeds William Higley, a 20-year veteran of the firm, who is leaving to pursue other opportunities.
Most recently Andrada was senior vice president of partner resources at Starbucks Coffee Co., overseeing the company’s talent strategy in both the Americas and globally. Earlier, she was senior vice president of human resources at GameStop Corp. and head of human resources at Red Bull North America.
Andrada reports to Craig A. Leavitt, chief executive officer of Kate Spade.
“Marissa’s expertise in attracting the industry’s best talent and cultivating strong leaders, combined with her background at other customer-centric organizations, will be key as we scale and develop our team to support our industry-leading growth,” said Leavitt.
