PARIS — Kering has appointed Jean-Philippe Bailly as its new chief operating officer, responsible for the supply chain, logistics and industrial operations at the global level.
Bailly succeeds Karlheinz Hofer, who’s leaving the luxury conglomerate. Bailly joins from Richemont, where he was the director of supply chain and procurement since 2004. He will report to Kering managing director Jean-François Palus and will be a member of the group’s executive committee. His nomination is effective April 1.
Hofer was also president and chief executive officer of Richard Ginori. It’s understood that his successor at the historic Italian tableware and ceramics firm acquired by Gucci in 2013 has yet to be named.
