PARIS — Kering has poached a veteran from rival luxury group Compagnie Financière Richemont as head of its luxury watch division in North America.
Alain Riguidel will take over as president of Kering Luxury Watch division North America May 1, according to a letter signed jointly by Antonio Calce, chief executive officer of Girard-Perregaux, and Patrik Hoffmann, chief executive officer of Ulysse Nardin.
Riguidel will manage Ulysse Nardin Inc. and Tradema of America Inc. and oversee all activities of Ulysse Nardin and Girard-Perregaux in North America, it said. The executive has held management positions in Europe, South America and the Middle East with the Richemont group over the last 18 years.
Most recently, he was the regional brand director for Piaget Latin America and Caribbean, based in Miami.
