Former Krizia ceo Simona Clemenza

Krizia and its chief executive officer Simona Clemenza have parted ways, WWD has learned.

Reached on Wednesday, the fashion company confirmed the departure of Clemenza who joined the brand in January 2017.

Born in Turin, Italy, in 1973, Clemenza was previously vice president of the global sales and licensing sector for Karl Lagerfeld BV. From 2006 to 2012 she was the wholesale and franchising sales director for the Kenzo Group. Clemenza first worked for Italian brands such as Blumarine and Gianfranco Ferré.

Krizia declined to provide further details about Clemenza’s potential successor.

During her tenure, Clemenza reopened the late founder Mariuccia Mandelli‘s Spazio Krizia cultural space in Milan and planned a retail rollout in China.

The company is managed by president Zhu ChonYung, who in the role of Krizia creative director also oversees the design team headed by designer Antonio D’Anna, who cut his teeth at contemporary label MSGM prior to joining the fashion house.
