PARIS — Laurence Paganini has been named chief executive officer of French lifestyle brand Kaporal, which was acquired by TowerBrook Capital Partners in May.
Paganini, who will take up her new post on Oct. 1, succeeds Santiago Cuchy, who held the position since 2012 and will leave the group, the company said in a statement Monday.
Paganini was most recently ceo of 3 Suisses, where she spearheaded the French mail-order giant’s transition into e-commerce. Before that, she served as managing director of Marionnaud France and marketing and studies manager of French retail giant Carrefour.
Paganini joins Kaporal at a moment of expansion. The brand, which operates 50 stores and derives 70 percent of revenues from wholesale, wants to grow its retail business and develop e-commerce.
“I am very happy to have the opportunity to lead Kaporal at a moment so important,” Paganini said.
In addition to her chief executive position, she will become a member of the company’s board, which is directed by Daniel Bernard, also a former Carrefour executive.
