PARIS — Hermès International said on Tuesday it has appointed Laurent Dordet as head of its watch division, La Montre Hermès, effective March 1.
Dordet has been managing director of the company’s leather goods and saddlery division since 2011. The 46-year-old graduate of the Ecole Supérieure de Commerce de Paris joined Hermès from Arthur Andersen in 1995, starting in the luxury group’s financial division.
He subsequently became joint managing director of the Hermès silk division, based in Lyon, before being made head of its precious leathers department in 2007.
Dordet succeeds Luc Perramond, who took over this month as president and chief executive officer of Ralph Lauren Watches and Jewelry. Dordet will report to Guillaume de Seynes, managing director at Hermès and president of La Montre Hermès.
