PARIS — L’Oréal has appointed Jean-Louis Kibort group head of security, a newly created position.

The executive has since 2012 been Total’s head of corporate security marketing and services. Prior to that, he oversaw the company’s corporate security of the Americas, Europe, Russia and Central Asia, and was its head of corporate security exploration and production.

Kibort joined Total in 2004 as head of corporate security in the Middle East after serving 10 years in France’s Ministry of Defense.

He was auditor of the 24th session of the French Institute for Security and Justice, and holds a degree in political sciences and defense.

L’Oréal employs 82,900 people globally, of which 3,870 are involved in research.
