PARIS — L’Oréal said Monday that Isabel Marey-Semper has been appointed its executive vice president of communication, sustainability and public affairs, as well as general manager of the L’Oréal Foundation and a member of the company’s executive board.
She succeeds Sara Ravella, who has left the group after five years to pursue a personal project.
“Sara Ravella increased the visibility and reputation of L’Oréal and spearheaded the group’s citizenship and corporate social responsibility agendas with the launch of Sharing Beauty With All commitments while energizing the L’Oréal Foundation,” the company stated.
Marey-Semper, who is 47, joined L’Oréal in January 2010 as director of shared services for the research and innovation department. She then was named senior vice president of advanced research. The executive formerly held positions at PSA Peugeot Citroën, Thomson, Saint-Gobain and Telesis/A.T. Kerney.
