PARIS — Louis Vuitton has a new head of watches and jewelry, WWD has learned.
Catherine Lacaze has joined the world’s largest luxury brand from Tiffany & Co., where she was vice president marketing, according to market sources. She succeeds Hamdi Chatti, who has left the company after nine years. Lacaze previously held positions at Harry Winston and Cartier, according to her LinkedIn profile.
A graduate of HEC Paris business school, Lacaze reports to Anthony Ledru, executive vice president global commercial activities at Louis Vuitton, the star brand of the LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton luxury conglomerate.
The move reunites her with Francesca Amfitheatrof, who was named artistic director of watches and jewelry at Louis Vuitton earlier this year. Most recently known for her work heading the jewelry design team at Tiffany & Co., Amfitheatrof is expected to present her first jewelry designs for Vuitton next summer.
