PARIS — MAD has appointed Sylvie Corréard managing director, effective Jan. 7.
The Paris institution groups the Les Arts Décoratifs museum and library, the Nissim-de-Camondo museum, the Ateliers du Carrousel and the Camondo design school.
Corréard, a consultant in culture and communication in the cabinet of French Prime Minister Édouard Philippe since 2017, a role that involves overseeing all dossiers pertaining to the patrimony and museum domains, succeeds David Caméo, who is retiring.
Corréard previously worked in the museum sector, in roles including secretary general of the Museum of Modern Art in Paris and director of the Cannes film festival’s Cinéfondation, which supports up-and-coming filmmakers.
