Kearney succeeds Jeffrey Thorpe, who left the firm six months ago.
Most recently, Kearney was creative director and executive vice president at Cynthia Steffe. Before joining Steffe in 2008, the British designer was vice president and creative director at Kenneth Cole New York women’s sportswear, and earlier held design posts at Max Mara, Laundry by Shelli Segal and Randolph Duke.
“Shaun Kearney is a very talented and skilled designer that can capture the spirit of the Magaschoni brand and evolve its design and product as we look to expand our business in the domestic and global markets,” said Monica Forman, president of Magaschoni. “He just had all the right sensibilities in product for our customer.”
Magaschoni, established in 1989, is sold in 800 department and specialty stores worldwide and has four freestanding boutiques.
