Malo has tapped Fabio Leoncini as chief executive officer to globally expand the brand.

“Malo has been the pioneer in developing cashmere luxury goods, setting the standards for this market,” said Leoncini, who brings to Malo extensive experience having served Loro Piana as chief operating officer of the luxury goods division for 17 years. “I am honored to spearhead the project that will bring this wonderful brand to the level that it deserves in the luxury marketplace.”

Prior to Loro Piana, Leoncini held the posts of ceo at Byblos and senior associate at Booz Allen & Hamilton.

Recently, Malo saw the return at the helm of the creative and commercial team of Giacomo Canessa, who founded the company with his brother, the late Alfredo Canessa, in 1972.

Malo wholesales to about 200 boutiques worldwide and operates 15 flagships across Italy, Europe, the Far East and the U.S.
