Maria Vicari, president of global licensing for Nautica Apparel Inc., will retire on Jan. 29.

Vicari, who has spent 11 years at Nautica parent VF Corp., oversaw the brand’s domestic and international licensing network. This network included 40 product categories in more than 60 countries, which led to a wholesale volume of more than $600 million.

Before joining VF, Vicari worked at Saks Fifth Avenue and with GFT USA Corp., where she held posts at brands including Ungaro Uomo Sportswear Co. and Valentino Uomo. She also oversaw global licensing for Joseph Abboud while working for JA Apparel Inc.

“Throughout the years, Maria has proven to be an integral part of the Nautica brand and the VF Sportswear Coalition,” said Karen Murray, president of VF Sportswear Coalition. “Her hard work, commitment, and dedication are admirable.”

This announcement follows a brand revamp, that was unveiled in October, and a new innerwear licensing agreement with Carole Hochman and H. Best.
