Meredith Corp. has hired Tim O’Connor as managing director of corporate marketing solutions.
In the newly-created role, O’Connor is tasked to expand Meredith’s marketing footprint with leading beauty, fashion and retail advertisers. He will report to Michael Brownstein, executive vice president and chief revenue officer of Meredith corporate sales and marketing.
O’Connor comes to Meredith from Time Inc.’s InStyle where he served as associate publisher. Before that, he worked at Condé Nast as Vogue’s associate publisher and advertising director, and as Glamour’s associate publisher.
Prior to Condé Nast, O’Connor served as associate publisher of CosmoGIRL! at rival Hearst Corp., and held several advertising and publishing gigs at Hachette Filipacchi within HFM corporate sales, Premier and George magazines.
“Tim brings years of dynamic experience in the beauty, retail, luxury and fashion markets with an impressive record of generating new revenue sources, driving sales, and developing highly successful client partnerships in both the print and digital landscapes,” said Brownstein. “He has significantly grown business in these areas for several of the world’s leading media companies and we are looking forward to new opportunities he will create for our branded media across platforms.”
