Michelle Klein has been named president and chief executive officer of SFERRA, a luxury home textiles firm. Most recently she had been president and ceo for Baccarat Americas.
She succeeds Steve Schneider, president, who is leaving the company to pursue other opportunities. Paul Hooker, current ceo, will become chairman of the board of the company.
“I’m passionate about the home furnishings industry, and especially the opportunities in the luxury sector. This is an exciting time for SFERRA as it enters its 125th anniversary year,” Klein said.
SFERRA makes luxury linens for the bed, bath and table in North America. The company’s linens have graced tables at White House state dinners and U.S. embassies abroad. The collection is sold in stores such as Bloomingdale’s, Neiman Marcus and Bergdorf Goodman in the U.S.
