Michelle Peluso is a venture capitalist again.
The former chief executive officer of Gilt.com has rejoined Technology Crossover Ventures.
According to her LinkedIn profile, she joined as venture partner last month. She said in her profile: “I love transformative times, the intersection of technology and consumer, building exceptional teams of people, doing good and being the best wife and mother I can be.”
Peluso has been a strategic adviser to Gilt and Hudson’s Bay Co. since February. Before that she was chief executive officer of Gilt.com since February 2013 – although she’s been on the Gilt board since October 2009 — until the company’s acquisition by HBC in February for $250 million in a cash deal. The web site has since been folded into HBC’s Saks Off 5th division.
Technology Crossover Ventures said Peluso was a venture partner in 2009. She is currently a member of the firm’s Internet group.
The venture capital firm’s Woody Marshall, a general partner, said Thursday: “We’re thrilled to have Michelle back in our expanding New York office, providing our ceos the valuable advice only she can bring from an impressive career that has taken her from consulting to the White House and on to leading household name-brand companies as ceo.”
