Levi Strauss & Co. said former Nike Inc. retail executive Carrie Ask will be joining the company as executive vice president and president of global retail, effective Feb. 16.
Ask will report to Chip Bergh, president & chief executive officer of Levi Strauss & Co.
The company said Ask will be “responsible for leading all aspects of [Levi Strauss & Co.’s] global retail business, including 2,700 owned and operated stores, franchise stores and outlet stores. She will be charged with growing [the company’s] retail business, an area that has been an important global growth driver for the company.”
Bergh said Ask has “demonstrated a successful track record of driving retail strategy and execution at leading brands” and that she is “recognized as a collaborative leader who delivers strong results and we know she’ll be a powerful addition to our team.”
At Nike, Ask served as vice president and general manager for Nike Stores North America. She also held various leadership roles at Nike’s Converse unit. Prior to that Ask had “retail and merchandising positions” at Target Corp., Petco and BC Natural Foods LLC. Ask was also an associate principal at McKinsey & Co. Inc. Ask also served in the Navy.
