The Jones Group Inc. has named Joseph Stafiniak to the newly created position of senior vice president of merchandising of Nine West.
In the role, Stafiniak will operate as the lead merchant for Nine West overseeing merchandising strategies and the execution of product to meet the expanding needs of the brand’s global business. This includes partnering with all of the brand’s business units and design teams to drive product and assortment, messaging and merchandising.
Stafiniak, who will report to Kathy Nedorostek, group president of global footwear and accessories, most recently served as Coach Inc.’s senior vice president of licensed categories since 2007.
Prior to Coach, Stafiniak held senior merchandising and design roles at Ralph Lauren Footwear, Giorgio Armani and ck Calvin Klein. He has also worked as vice president of sales and marketing for the ck Calvin Klein shoes and bags division of Nine West Group, and he served as president of Anne Klein Collection.
