Style expert and TV personality Jill Martin has been tapped as the first brand ambassador for No nonsense legwear.

Martin, who is a contributor for the “Ambush Makeover” and “Steals and Deals” segments of NBC’s “Today Show,” and is a New York correspondent for “Access Hollywood,” will be featured in a series of online vignettes for No nonsense that will educate women on how to wear leggings and colored tights.

She will also be active on social media, providing fashion tips via Twitter and weekly blogs, and will be featured in a Facebook contest where a winner and her friend will meet Martin in New York City for style advice and a shopping spree.

The viral campaign is part of a rebranding strategy of introducing more fashion styles, colors and products to No nonsense assortments at mass merchants and food and drugstore chains where the brand is carried. Details have not been finalized.

Martin described No nonsense as a brand that is “available to everyone, easy to wear, and even easier to find.

“It’s always exciting when an established company remakes itself and I’m happy to be a part of it. The new tights and leggings are on-trend and very high quality without breaking the bank,” said Martin.

Julia Townsend, executive vice president and general manger at parent company Kayser-Roth Corp., said six style-tip videos featuring Martin will be developed for fall.

“After returning from the Summer Olympics as an NBC correspondent, Jill will start working on the No nonsense project,” said Townsend. “Ideas will include how to pack for a trip with No nonsense as an essential item, how to wear colored tights with a wardrobe, and how long a top should be to wear with leggings.”

No nonsense manufactures 90 percent of its legwear in the U.S., is worn by 30 million women annually and has 94 percent brand recognition among consumers, said Townsend.
