NEW YORK — Susan J. Masterson, a former executive at Ralph Lauren Corp., died Friday after a brief illness, according to her sister Elayne Masterson. Her age and cause of death could not be learned.
Masterson was at Ralph Lauren until March 2011, where she served as vice president of accessories for Lauren by Ralph Lauren. Before joining Lauren in 2009, she served as a merchandise manager for handbags, small leather goods and accessories for Macy’s Merchandising Group, a role she held for nine years. From 1991 to 2000, Masterson was merchandise product director for intimate apparel at Macy’s. She had also held a senior-level position at Washington, D.C.-based department store chain Woodward & Lothrop after studying at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
Masterson is survived by her husband, Joseph Corbacho; daughter, Francesca Cobacho, and sisters Bridget Dusenbury, Patricia Snyder and Elayne Masterson.
In lieu of flowers, charitable contributions may be made to The American Cancer Society. A private memorial is expected to take place for Masterson’s family and friends at a later date.
