PARIS — Olivier Fournier was elected president of Fondation d’entreprise Hermès by an unanimous vote, effective immediately, the company said on Monday.
Fournier, who joined the French luxury brand in 1991 and is currently executive vice president of compliance and organization development of Hermès International as well as a member of the house’s executive committee, is succeeding Pierre-Alexis Dumas, Hermès’ artistic director, who has occupied the post since its creation in 2008.
In December, Dumas was elected president of Paris museum Les Arts Décoratifs, as reported. He retains his seat on the board of the foundation.
Directed by Catherine Tsekenis, the Fondation d’entreprise Hermès “supports men and women seeking to learn, perfect, transmit and explore the creative gestures that shape our lives” through targeted programs in the visual arts, photography, performing arts, craftsmanship and design.
