Amandine De Souza.

PARIS – Paris department store BHV Marais, part of the Galeries Lafayette Group, has named Amandine de Souza as director of its store network, effective April 16.

De Souza succeeds Alexandre Liot, who has taken over management of the Galeries Lafayette flagship store on Boulevard Haussmann, as reported.

A home wares specialist, the executive is charged with driving forward the ongoing repositioning of the department store and developing its omnichannel presence. She reports to Olivier Bron, operations director at Galeries Lafayette and BHV Marais.

De Souza will also be in charge of home buying for the Galeries Lafayette and BHV Marais private labels. She has more than 13 years’ experience in the retail and e-commerce sectors, most recently as president for France at Westwing, an online retailer specialized in home wares and decoration.

Prior to that, she worked for Casino and Bain & Company. The 38-year-old is a graduate of ESCP Europe business school.
