LONDON — Patricia Sancho has been promoted and named chief executive officer of Temperley London, effective immediately, WWD has learned.

Since last year, Sancho has been the company president overseeing strategy and working alongside Alice Temperley, founder and creative director. She will continue setting strategy and vision for the label as well as leading the brand to continued expansion in the global marketplace.

She joined the brand in 2013 as senior vice president of global sales. Before that, she worked for Burberry, Club21 Armani and Juicy Couture.

“My job is to think always about the future of our company and how to move it forward,” said Temperley. “Patricia and I have a strong personal bond and share a vision for the future of Temperley London. I appreciate Patricia’s unique sensibility, her leadership skills and strategic foresight. We now have a great management team and with this appointment all the pieces are in place to position our business for continued growth.”

Based in London, the company has five stores operating in London, Dubai and Qatar. Temperley London’s women’s wear range is distributed in more than 30 countries with 150 wholesale accounts including Selfridges, Le Bon Marché, Harrods, Liberty, Matches.com, Net-a-porter.com and Moda Operandi. The brand’s bridal offering is available in more than 11 countries as well as 40 wholesale accounts such as David Jones, Kleinfeld and Novarese.
