Petruzello has been president of Buffalo David Bitton since 2008. Earlier in his career, he was president of the Marc Ecko Cut & Sew line, president of Guess Kids and a senior vice president of sales and merchandising at Tommy Hilfiger.
“We are pleased to welcome Carmine to Perry Ellis International and are very excited about the breadth of experience in brand building and leadership that he carries,” said Feldenkreis. “The Perry Ellis brand is at an inflection point and we feel that under Carmine’s supervision, experience and leadership, the brand will further expand its global footprint.”
Last month, PEI said that Doug Jakubowski would rejoin the Perry Ellis division as chief merchandising officer, from a similar position at Kenneth Cole Productions Inc. In September, John Crocco exited the brand as creative director.
