Pet supply retailer Petco has named Michael Nuzzo its new chief financial officer starting immediately. Nuzzo is fresh from 4mom where he served as chief administrative officer of the self-described “high-tech baby gear” brand.
Prior to that he was executive vice president at GNC Holdings Inc. But retailers and vendors may recall Nuzzo as a senior vice president of finance — and other management roles — at Abercrombie & Fitch Inc.
In a statement Petco chief executive officer Jim Myers said Nuzzo “brings a successful track record of leadership for both public and privately-held companies and will play a key role in helping us further refine and execute our long-term growth strategy.”
Petco operates over 1,400 stores in North America as well as 10 Pooch Hotel “destinations for pet daycare, boarding and spa services.”
