Sakroots is expanding its executive team.

Aaron Duncan has been named chief marketing officer and creative director and Jeff Feldman joins as chief sales and merchandising officer. Both will begin this month.

Duncan formerly worked at Mattel Inc., where he served as vice president of global softlines and led global licensing initiatives for brands including Barbie and Hot Wheels.

At Sakroots, Duncan will be responsible for guiding brand positioning and developing licensing opportunities.

“We are confident that Aaron’s experience coupled with his familiarity of the under-30 demographic will continue to grow the Sakroots lifestyle brand both domestically and internationally,” said Mark Talucci, The Sak Brand Group’s cofounder and chief executive officer.

Feldman comes from Beats by Dre, where he was the vice president of global channel management. Feldman also assisted in Beats’ acquisition by Apple and subsequent integration. He will be tasked with expanding sales internationally.

Talucci pointed to “Jeff’s experience as a sales and marketing leader, along with his capability to build a global lifestyle brand in new markets,” as key assets.

The Sakroots accessories collection specializes in colorful, original art and features 12 original prints. It sits under The Sak Brand Group alongside Elliott Lucca, which focuses on woven leather accessories, and The Sak, which mostly consists of hand-crafted crochet bags. Last year the firm unveiled its plans to move into new categories in order to increase its bottom line.
